Santa Clara received a commitment from Jared Brownridge, a 6-foot-1 guard out of Waubonsie Valley (IL) High School.

"The coaching staff has been recruiting me for a long time, going to my high school games and AAU games," Brownridge pointed out. "That went a long way. My whole family loves the staff."

Brownridge chose Santa Clara in large part because of its academics.

"What they showed us academically blew us away," he said.

Santa Clara received a verbal commitment from Jalen Richard, a 6-foot-2 guard out of Queen Creek, Arizona.

Richard averaged 21.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game as a junior last season.
